My submission got accepted!
Strict design brief: the drone needs to stay below 25kg, incl. 5kg payload and 5-6kg of batteries, up to 100km range, and is required to perform vertical take off (VTOL), then forward flight with a different set of rotors.
My entry relies on carbon rods and inflatable material, for a soft-body, slow-paced aircraft, and introduces folding wings when resting. The lift propellers then become wheels, as this 2*2m drone can circulate within any facility.
